In June 2021, the European Commission published new Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) designed to reflect the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Court of Justice of the European Union’s decision in Schrems II.
Except where an adequacy decision applies, the SCCs available on this page were applicable to international transfers of personal data subject to GDPR under contracts entered into prior to September 27, 2021. In accordance with the European Commission’s transitional arrangements, these SCCs applied to such transfers only until December 27, 2022, unless the relevant contract was updated to incorporate the new SCCs before that date.
These documents are made available for reference purposes only, including in connection with legacy contractual arrangements and audit or record‑keeping requirements. They do not apply to new international transfers governed by contracts entered into after September 27, 2021.
