We are excited to invite you to try an early preview of the web version of LSEG Workspace.

As the world adjusts to the virtual office environment, we have seen a significant increase in users worldwide accessing R Eikon on web and mobile. There’s clearly a greater demand for flexible access to our products, and for our customers to be able to get the data they need easily and more efficiently.

With LSEG Workspace – our new flagship workflow solution for the financial services community – customers will be able to access unmatched coverage of financial data, news, analytics, and productivity tools in a highly customized experience across desktop, web, and mobile.

At present, the full desktop solution of LSEG Workspace is only available to our Wealth and Investment Banking customers. We want to fully delight our customers, so we’re taking an agile, iterative development testing approach with our other customer communities to launch in phases.

In the meantime, we’d love for you to try LSEG Workspace for web and tell us what you think.

Get started effortlessly with LSEG Workspace for web

LSEG Workspace is easy and quick to set up on a web browser – switching will take less than 5 minutes for most users. While we want you to stay, you can switch back to Eikon for web in a single click.

There are no surprises with the setup either. After a short tour, you’ll have several options to set your Homepage: keep using your previous Layout from Eikon; use a single App i.e. Top News; or choose a Market Overview Layout for monitoring market activity.

Work faster and smarter, with shortcuts to access tools and data

With LSEG Workspace for web, the first thing you’ll notice are the menus at the top of your browser. These menus contain tools and data tailored to your job role. You can always check your job role and update it in your Profile settings.

It’s worth exploring these menus to discover new features, tools and Apps you may not have previously known about.

When you’ve found something you like, you can easily add a bookmark, so that getting back there is just one click away. Like you would on your favorite web browser, simply click the star next to the omnibox, and you’ll see the bookmark added right at the top of the Browser, for quick and easy access whenever you need it.

Leverage more of LSEG’s data with our new, powerful search feature 

We’ve built Search in LSEG Workspace from the ground up to help you find what you need, more quickly. You’ll be able to preview information as you type your search, without having to change pages.

What’s exciting is the new engine powering this search experience. As LSEG Workspace is tailored to your job role, the intelligent search will surface the Apps and content that you need the most. Our intelligent search will continuously learn from what you do. Based on your previous actions, searching will bring the most relevant search results to the top of your list.

Most importantly, intelligent search must go hand in hand with advanced security. We always keep all of your data private and are fully GDPR compliant. 

With smarter search  comes faster navigation

Many of our most vocal customers are power users, who want the information they need in the fewest clicks.

This is why we’ve introduced ‘Smart Search’ to the navigation experience in LSEG Workspace. Smart Search provides a command driven search simply by pressing Tab, so you can navigate between several searches instantly. We’ve already had much positive feedback from many customers who rely on this to find information and gain valuable insights.

What’s next for  Workspace web access?

As mentioned, we’re working on a full desktop version of LSEG Workspace, which will include more powerful features, such as Microsoft Excel integration. It is now available to our Wealth and Investment Banking customers, and will be made available to our Trading, Analyst, and Portfolio Management customers in the future via a phased launch approach.
